Tomorrow's December and today we're sharing two prepped and ready Happy Planners™ of mambi Design Team members Liz Nielson (IG| blog) and Gretchen Klobucar (IG | blog). It's all in the details on these girls' pages - placing holiday-themed stickers in just the right spot, and combining stickers to create a layering effect.
December Monthly Prep with Winter Bucket List & Birthday Dashboard by Liz Nielson
About these pages, Liz writes:
"December is by far my favorite month of the year. I love all of the Christmas lights, cold weather, holiday cheer, AND it’s my birthday month! Since my birthday is in the same month as Christmas, I want my December monthly to feel both celebratory and festive! That’s why I love the 'Seasonal' sticker value pack. While there are the traditional reds and greens, there are also some lovely pastels that still feel like Christmas without it being too 'Christmasy'.
Starting with the December monthly dashboard, I filled in my goals for the month that had a holiday season twist. While I’m a kind person by nature, I’m also human. So, my first goal is to make sure to be extra patient, and I know kindness will follow. I also want to make as many memories as possible and document them. Lastly, I want to donate a toy to a child in need. I was blessed with wonderful parents who showered us on Christmas because they had the ability to, but not all parents do. So, I want to do my part to help make another child’s Christmas as wonderful as mine were growing up."
"Since I use the 'Picture Quote' Happy Planner™, I don’t want to cover up the beautiful monthly dividers. By using a few sheets of cardstock from the Rose Gold mambiSHEETS paper pad, I made a special double sided divider that has my winter bucket list on one side with my birthday celebration on the reverse side. For the winter bucket list side, I used the 'Seasonal' sticker value pack, the clear Christmas mambiSTICKS, a few coordinating Happy Planner™ washi tapes, and the Christmas DecoPen. For my birthday side, I again used the'Seasonal' sticker value pack, the birthday mambiSTICKS that match the ones inside the Seasonal pack, and Rose Gold Alpha mambiSTICKS."
"Here’s my full December monthly spread. I really only use my monthly spreads to mark important dates and events. I marked my birthday using the adorable sticker of the girl with the deer. Then I used other sticky notes and stickers to point out my Paw Paw’s birthday, last day of fall semester/first day of winter break. But my favorite part is where I used some Happy Planner™ washi to mark the family vacation that my husband and I will be spending with his family in a cabin we all rented together. I can’t wait to spend time with everyone, especially all of my adorable nieces and nephews!"
USING the six-month extension pack to jump into december by Gretchen Klobucar
About these pages, Gretchen writes:
"I used one of the months in the BIG Six Month Extension Pack so I could start using my new 2017 BIG 'Tranquility' Happy Planner™ RIGHT away. Because my December divider was a black/white stripe with blush pink and no words, it was open to customization. Adding large stickers to plain dividers is one of my favorite ways to make my Happy Planner™ unique to me. I chose to spell out 'MERRY' with the large mambiSTICKS™ gold alphas. I then used colorful dots from the light pink pack of Happy Planner™ Planner Basics™ value stickers and doodled a string and caps to create holiday lights. I also added in some basic gold circles from another Happy Planner™ Colorful Dots pack."
"On the 'Currently' page, I created another doodled string of lights to tie together both pages. In the 'Remember' corner, I created gift boxes by first trimming two full boxes from the seasonal Happy Planner™ Planner Basics™ value stickers. I then added Happy Planner™ washi to look like ribbon, and topped them with "bows" made of gold asterisks. Across the page I added powder blue snowflakes and a few Christmas stickers to match.
I love the decidedly fresh winter feel of this spread without the typical holiday color scheme of red and green. It feels sophisticated like the rest of the Tranquility planner, and still feels holiday! "
