What do you do when you know you won't be looking at your Happy Planner™ from Thursday to Sunday because you'll be away from the page and out there LIVING all you've planned? Well, mambi Design Team member Heather Adams (blog | IG) had an idea to make those days in her weekly spread work for her, and covered it with grid paper to use as a place to record random thoughts and sketches that came to her during her busy Monday to Wednesday.
About these pages, Heather writes:
"This week I had a bit of an unusual plan. I left on Thursday to go on a trip, so I didn't really need to plan anything Thursday through Sunday. That meant the entire right side of my planner spread for this week would be left blank! Instead of just wasting the space, I trimmed down a piece of graph paper from the Note & Graph Paper pack and adhered it onto the right side of the spread. I concentrated the decorating/planning on the left side of the spread and I left the right side free for whatever I think of to jot down throughout the week."
We like how Heather kept the dates of July 14th through 17th visible by trimming her grid paper page - that way the spread still flows across the top from Monday through Sunday. Notice she did the same with the chevron design on the bottom. It's a tiny detail, but really works well to tie these two pages together.
