Happy Memorial Day, all! With the month of May winding down, we thought we'd share how mambi Design Team member Mary-Ann Maldonado filled the monthly spread she created for May by using the Six Month Extension Pack.

About these pages, Mary-Ann writes:
"Sometime strings are so busy that decorations and beautiful stickers can be distracting from what you need to accomplish. Don't get me wrong - my weekly spreads are completely embellished and snazzy, but I tend to keep my monthly spreads simple and functional.
In the monthly section of my planner is where I keep all of the assignments, important dates, and appointments that I have due for the month. For work, I have a system that works for me: once I have created the assignment, it gets a check mark. Then, when it is blogged or sent in, it gets a yellow line through it. This is so I can still read it. Once I have blogged it to my personal blog, it gets a little circle sticker. All of my personal appointments and child activities are in lavender, one of the softer colors. The best part of my monthly section is that everything is color-coded. Rainbows and unicorns make me happy, so as much color as possible is used in my planner."
We love Mary-Ann's no frills approach to her monthly spread. As a planner user, I always struggle with the limited space in each daily box. I question which important information should be jotted there, but love Mary-Anne's take on using it to get her work done.
Enjoy the holiday!
