The 'NOTES' column is a space on The Happy Planner®'s monthly and weekly spreads that is not necessarily assigned to a specific day. This 'sidebar' gives you freedom to use it for whatever you need it to be for, and the real estate on which to do it! Today we're sharing FIVE ways mambi Design Team member Heather Kell (IG | blog | YouTube) came up with to use the sidebar in her Happy Planner®.
About these parts of her planner, Heather writes:
"I love coming up with new and creative ways to use the sidebar in my Happy Planner®. The sidebar is a great spot to put important information for the week since your eye is drawn to that side of the paper a lot of the time.
Recently I used the sidebar to plan out my YouTube videos for the week. I loved using it this way because I could easily see what my schedule was. It made uploading and publishing so much easier."
One week I used the sidebar to list all of my favorite shows on different streaming apps. I'm not a huge TV person, but I do have my favorite shows. If I don't remind myself to watch them, then they end up piling up pretty fast! I loved having this list on my side bar so that I could easily track which shows I had watched for the week and which shows I still needed to watch.
If you're going on a trip that week, the sidebar is a great place to make your packing list. It's easy to refer to throughout the week, which makes it easy to remember what things you need to start picking up and packing."
"One of my favorite ways to use the sidebar is for a weekly to do list. These are the tasks that are important for the week. Once I make my weekly to do list on the side bar, I can easily transfer them to the day of the week that I will complete the task."
"Finally, if you don't have anything else to track in your side bar, it's always a great place for a simple motivational quote. Sometimes a motivational quote is the thing you need to push yourself through a busy week!"
