About this page, Heather writes:
"The only things non-mambi that I used on this layout was my dot glue runner and a piece of white cardstock.
To begin with, I attached a Happy Planner™ paper clip to the righthand side of my photo since there was some blank space there. Then I created an eye line on my layout by adding a strip of striped washi roughly half way down the page.
Next I added my title. It really helped that my picture had some blank area where I could overlap the title.
After placing the title, I stuck some quote/thought bubble stickers in the space above the washi line. My plan was to make a little collage of different elements in that space.
I added some chipboard pieces from my favorite mambiCHIPS™ pack. I love all the different elements in this set!
Next I added some washi elements to the collage. I love that, at this point, there are 3 different textures on this page, and none of those are patterned paper!
To balance the page a little bit, I added a piece of washi tape from The Happy Planner™ 'Live Loud' Washi Stickers on the bottom edge of the page.
After placing the washi strip, I added a journaling card underneath the photo.
Next, I shifted some of the already-placed elements on the lefthand side upward a bit and added some embellishing around the photo.
Time for journaling!
The last little bit I added was a piece of black and white floral washi tape to the bottom of the page. I thought that it needed a little more of a focal point down there to balance the heavy embellishing on top. And with that, I’m done!
I hope you enjoyed seeing a walkthrough of my process! This page was super fun and easy to create. My favorite part about this page is that I used absolutely NO PATTERNED PAPER. That’s a big deal for me because I love patterned paper. I challenge you to make your next layout using only embellishments and see what happens— you might be in love with the result!"
