Scrapbook Pages | Circus & Adventure

Today we're excited to share two scrapbook pages created by mambi Design Team members Mary-Ann Maldonado and Latrice Murphy. Both girls took totally different approaches to their page, but used brown and neutrals as a major element.

Mary-Ann paired the muted craft-paper base with bright and bold layers and embellishments. This played up the 'circus' memory she was documenting with this layout.

Similarly, Latrice set her scrapbook page atop one of our brown/beige mambiSHEETS. However, to play up the foliage behind her in the photo, Latrice made a great choice in keeping the rest of the colors neutral.

About her 'Adventure' layout, Latrice writes:

"I created this layout after choosing my one little word™ for 2015: adventure. It’s not only a word for me, but for my whole family. I’m just the person who is going to make sure we carry it out. It’s going to be a fun and adventurous year for the Murphys.

This photo was an adventure in itself! It was actually freezing cold outside when I did this mini shoot for a fashion post.  I started the layout with the paper from 'Encouraging Words' mambiSHEETS. The adventure paper doubled as my title. I cut around the bracket and tucked my photo under it just a bit. Then added mambiBANNERS along both sides to create impact and to draw your attention towards the center to the photo. Lastly I finished the layout with some Clear Expressions."

I love how these girls used similar elements in their layouts, but turned the color up or down depending on what it was they were documenting.
