Today we are sharing a DIY flower pot project created my mambi Design Team member Megan McKenna using one of our new Expandable Paper Pads. Even though we're posting this in celebration of Earth Day, this project would make a great gift for Mother's Day as well.
About this project, Megan writes:
"This project was simple, fun and you need very little supplies and time to make it. All you need is a clay flower pot, Mod Podge™, a foam brush and whatever paper combination you like using the new Expandable Paper Pads! The two I selected were from the 'Fresh Floral' pack. My mom's favorite color is green so I wanted to incorporate that on the pot.
I ripped the glossy paper into strips, and tore those into small pieces. I wanted to acheive a mosaic look when finished."
"Using the foam brush and Mod Podge™ - cover little sections at a time because it the glue dries very quickly. Put one coat down first, then put down a piece of the paper. and Put another coat on top of that, and I used the gloss finish so the whole project will feel smooth when I'm done.
Repeat these steps until your pot is covered how you like. It doesn't take long to dry at all. Now fill it with dirt and give it to mom with her favorite flower inside...OR...make her a planting kit (!!!) with her own seeds, gloves, watering can, etc. so she can watch her own flower grow!"
This is the pad Megan used for the project.
These oversized papers are great for wrapping gifts, BIG or small papercrafting projects, collaging, party decorations and so much more!
Each pad includes 24 jumbo sheets of lightweight, designer paper measuring 18.3” x 25.8”!
