Nothing says 'tis the season for DIY' like a string of handmade holiday garland. This sweet circle and pom pom string was created by mambi Design Team member Heather Adams and she makes some great suggestions for how to display it. :) Read on.
About this project, Heather writes:
"Christmas decorations are always some of my favorite holiday items to make-- especially Christmas banners! I decided to make a garland banner out of circles and pom poms for a new decoration this year."
Here's how Heather did it:
- Adhere strips of patterned paper onto a 12x12 piece of paper.
- Diecut circles out of paper. Mine were 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" circles.
- Diecut another set of circles, this time out of a coordinating pattern.
- Adhere the circles back-to-back with the banner string in-between the circles. Add pom-poms (mine were hand made) and sticker accents where desired.
"I love how the paper, stickers, and yarn pom poms mix so well. I think the various textures makes this banner super fun and cute to look at! This type of banner would look adorable draped on a mantle, hung on the limbs of a Christmas Tree, or even placed in a bowl instead of being strung up."
