With a house full of "20 somethings", we have all kinds of taste buds to deal with. Some eat anything, one is a vegetarian, some don't cook, all are hungry...and I don't like to cook. Sound like a recipe for disaster? It can be. Especially when I do cook only to find out no one is home or they don't like what I'm making for dinner. Oh no they didn't!
My solution is this chalkboard menu that is updated (when I remember) and hangs in our kitchen. I used to create each week from scratch until our NEW chalkboard stickers arrived. Using the new really BIG chalkboard stickers, I created the MENU title. The days of the week were made with chalkboard chipboard stickers.
Now, all I have to do is decide what to make for dinner, write it on the menu board and I can get a head count on who plans on eating with the family for dinner. Plus, it looks so cute. And that totally counts for something.
