If you look up the word 'merry' in the dictionary the definition it gives you is "full of cheerfulness; joyous in disposition or spirit." What a fabulous idea Design Team member Heather Adams had to make this word into banner and hang as a reminder of the season!
About this banner, Heather writes:
"I love making Christmas decorations. Banners are some of my favorite thing to make. They make great handmade gifts, or if you're like me, you can use what you make to decorate your own house.
I made this 'merry' banner by using different products and layering them together to make the banner fun and eye-appealing. I like to work in levels. Basic banner shape, then add patterned papers. Next add flatter embellishments, such as doilies and alphabet stickers. Bulkier items like dimensional stickers and chipboard come next. I personally like lots of different levels, with some things popped up, and some things flat."
This would also be fun to do as a Christmas activity with a group of kids: each child gets to decorate their piece of the banner and when everybody's done, they stick on their gold foil letter and assemble. Love! Happy holiday crafting!
