Happy Halloween-week! Returning mambi Design Team member April Orr has jazzed up her home and this blog with these two pieces of Halloween decor: a mood-setting display tray and a super-simple, no-carve, ribbon-wrapped pumpkin.
About this DIY Halloween tray, April writes:
"Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays, even more so since I had boys. Seeing the magic of Halloween through their eyes inspires me each year to come up with something fun and new. This year, I was inspired the second I saw the HAUNTED mambiSHEETS paper pad. I have had this black tray sitting around the garage for months waiting for such an occasion."
The tray is such a mood-setter, and all the little details are to die for! Did anyone catch the tiny little files on the far left and far right? What about the way April made the moon with a that gold starry ribbon, or gave the owl its own little compartment that it's peering at us from? Spooooky.
It's also inspiring the POCKET PAGES™ side of my brain, and giving me ideas on what elements of the HAUNTED paper pad I'd want to slice up and use in a Halloween spread.
"Hi, I'm April! I absolutely loved every second of my Design Team experience last year and can't wait to see what this next year holds!
I love all things fancy paper and pen related. I have been a long time scrapbooker-turned-scrapbook-goods-collector until the POCKET PAGES™ system came out and my scrappy life was transformed.
I have a busy, traveling husband, two crazy boys, teach six-grade language arts, train with a CrossFit tea,, and the PCOKET PAGES™ system is easy enough for me to maintain our family's memory keepsaking.
I love to read and snickerdoodles are my kryptonite!"
